How to Commute to SM Megamall from Alabang

Start Point: Alabang Starmall
Go to Route Index
List of PUV Terminals

Route used: SLEX (Skyway) > Magallanes Interchange > EDSA

1. The bus terminal for buses plying EDSA is located at the front area of Starmall.
2. You can ride any of the buses (i.e. Bus A, B or C) because all of them will pass by SM Megamall.

Note: With the recent transport woes plaguing the MRT-3, it would be more convenient to just take the bus the whole way since it's only one ride.

Below is a list of ranked destinations (in alphabetical order) and their branches within Metro Manila. Cumulatively, there are a lot of branches and destinations, so you may see some locations currently without commuting directions although I will try to update them regularly.

How to Commute to SM Aura from EDSA-Ayala

Start Point: SM Makati
Go to Route Index
List of PUV Terminals

Route used: MRT-3 Ayala Avenue station > McKinley Road > 5th Avenue > Rizal Drive > McKinley Parkway

Recommended restaurants at SM Aura:

From: 2014 Mid-Year Report: The 10 Best and Most-Reviewed Restaurants In Manila

Todd English Food Hall - rated #4
Magnum Manila Cafe - rated #2
Ramen Nagi - rated #1 (also recommended for tonkotsu lovers in 5 Questions About Eating Ramen In Manila Answered By A Japanese)

1. If you're at SM Makati, use the MRT-3 Ayala Avenue station to cross EDSA.
2. Once you're on the other side of EDSA, make your way to the Ayala Market Jeepney Terminal (once you get down from the MRT station you can take the side road located a few meters after the stairs; at some point you will cross McKinley Road to get to the jeepney terminal). (See it on Google Maps)
3. Get on the jeep with "Market-Market" placard. There are signs at the waiting shed so it's easy to see where to wait.

Note: You could also take The Fort bus, but the jeep has cheaper fare and also takes the more direct route.

4. Sometimes the jeep takes McKinley Parkway all the way, passing by SM Aura and then ending up at Market-Market. However, some jeeps turn left at 11th Avenue, turn right at 26th Avenue before turning left again into McKinley Parkway and Market-Market.

If the jeep uses McKinley Parkway all the way, you can simply get down at SM Aura. However, if the jeep turns left on 11th Avenue, you can just get down at the corner of 26th Avenue and McKinley Parkway (before the jeep turns left into Market-Market).

If you get confused and end up at Market-Market, it's okay because SM Aura is only walking distance from Market-Market.

How to Commute to Ramen Yushoken (Molito Complex) from Makati

Start Point: SM Makati
Go to Route Index
List of PUV Terminals

Route used: EDSA > Magallanes flyover > SLEX (Skyway) > Alabang-Zapote Road

Note: Ramen Yushoken is one of the ramen places recommended in the article 5 Questions About Eating Ramen In Manila Answered By A Japanese, especially for tonkotsu lovers.

Option 1: Via bus / jeep

Beside SM Makati and beneath the MRT-Ayala station are bus loading/unloading zones where you can get on the buses headed to Alabang and other Southbound destinations.

1. Get on the buses with the following placards:

a. Alabang / Metropolis / South Station
b. Alabang Starmall / Pacita

Note: Do not get on the buses with placards "Pacita Derecho" because these will bypass Alabang and you won't be able to get off.

2. Where you get off depends on which bus you ride:

a.  Alabang / Metropolis / South Station placard - you get off at Alabang South Station.
b. Alabang Starmall / Pacita placard - you will be deposited underneath the Alabang viaduct near the Alabang public market.

To get to the jeepney terminals at South Station, just keep walking until you reach the first corner, then turn right towards the public market. Keep walking until you reach the T-intersection and at your right will be South Station (landmark: KFC at the corner).

Note: Some buses, especially the Ordinary (i.e. non-aircon) buses, do not take the Skyway and instead also make stops at Bicutan and Sucat exits before exiting at Alabang. If you don't see a "Skyway" among the placards displayed, most likely the bus will take the SLEX instead.

3. At Alabang South Station, make your way to the loading areas of the jeeps with placards going to:

a. Zapote
b. Las Pinas
c. SM Southmall
d. Baclaran

You can get on any of the above jeeps.

4. Get down in front of Puregold Molito (it will be on your left).

Landmark: Shell station to your right, after Pacific Village.

5. After crossing the street, beyond Puregold is already Molito Complex.

Option 2: Via FX

1. From SM Makati, cross Palm Drive to get to Park Square building (it's on the same side of the road as Dusit Thani Hotel).
2. At the ground floor of Park Square, look for the FX/vans headed to Las Pinas.
3. Tell the driver to drop you off at Puregold Molito (it will be on your left).

Landmark: Shell station to your right, after Pacific Village.

4. After crossing the street, beyond Puregold is already Molito Complex.
