UPDATE - April 10, 2015: The Manila Commuter is now on Facebook! If you would like a more interactive experience in both asking for directions or giving advice to other commuters, please visit and join The Manila Commuter FB Group.
_______________________________
There are two ways you could submit directions:
1. Post a comment; or
2. Send an email to themanilacommuter at gmail.com (just substitute the "at" with "@")
Simply follow the submission guidelines below. Understand that I may need to edit any submissions and do some quality control, so it might take some time before your submissions are published.
You could be a commuter who simply wants to help other commuters find their way across the city. Or you could be a business/restaurant owner who wants to make it easier for customers to get to your establishment (a form of free advertising, to boot). Either way, you can help other people by adding to the knowledge base of this site.
Make sure to also check the Ask For Directions page in case you can answer any request for directions posted there.
Submission Guidelines
1. Directions should be about commuting using public transport within Metro Manila, or have Metro Manila as a starting point/destination.
2. In the subject line, include the starting point and the destination (e.g. "How to get to Ali Mall Cubao from Marikina" or "Marikina to Ali Mall Cubao").
3. In the body of the letter or comment, follow this format:
Contributed by: <indicate initials or alias if you wish to hide your identity>
<List down step-by-step commuting directions here>
4. Be sure to include any Tips or other helpful travel advice.
Tip #1: Refer to other directions published in the site for an idea of what information to put in.
Tip #2: As much as possible, make your start point an easily recognizable landmark so that it's easier for commuters to imagine the route.
