Need to find directions on how to get to a particular location using public transport, but can't find it here? Simply place a comment below, asking for the directions you need!
This page allows you to specifically ask for directions so that someone who knows can answer you. That someone could be me, or it could be another visitor who knows how to commute there.
Eventually, the directions given will form part of the knowledge base of the site, to help other commuters in the future who may need to go to the same place as you.
As a guideline, please limit your request for directions to within Metro Manila or with Metro Manila as a starting point or destination. Please also allow some lead time for someone to answer.
Hi. I will be going to 3 locations, originating from Quezon Prov.
ReplyDeleteGoing to Alabang is easy. But could you kindly give me directions on how to go from Alabang to Binondo Church, then from Binondo to Bayani Rd. Taguig, and finally from Bayani Rd. Taguig back to Alabang?
Traveling by jeep is ok, but bus and train is preferred.
Thank you. :)
Apologies for the long overdue reply. Unfortunately I'm only familiar with the route going to Sta. Cruz church. However, if you've managed to visit the destinations above, feel free to share it here.
Deletehello ask ko lang po how to travel from carmona to san mateo rizal puregold po, and howlong po ba byahe?
DeleteHere are general directions how to get to Puregold San Mateo from Carmona:
DeleteOption 1
1. If there is a bus going to Cubao Araneta Center, ride that and get off at Araneta Center Terminal.
2. Walk towards Gateway Mall along Aurora Blvd. and get on any jeep or FX going to San Mateo. Just tell the driver to drop you off at Puregold San Mateo.
Option 2
1. If there is a bus going to Cubao-Kamias, ride that and get off at the terminal (depends on the bus line, i.e. JAC, JAM, etc. but they're all located around the EDSA/Kamias area).
2. Make your way to the corner of East Avenue and EDSA and get on any bus/jeep headed to Fairview.
3. Get off at Ever Gotesco Commonwealth and take any jeep or FX going to Batasan-San Mateo.
4. Get off at Puregold San Mateo.
Option 3
1. If there is no bus going to Cubao Araneta or Cubao Kamias, take a bus/jeep/FX to Starmall Alabang.
2. At Starmall Alabang, get on any bus going to Cubao and from there follow the instructions as described in Option 1.
Another option: From Starmall Alabang, get off at MRT Magallanes station or Ayala station and take the MRT to Cubao station. More walking but it should be faster.
Travel time:
Hard to estimate but since you'll be passing through high traffic areas such as EDSA and Commonwealth, 4-5 hours might be just about right. I suggest you leave early in the morning to avoid most of the heavy traffic.
Hi. I'm going to give tips on how to go to the areas I mentioned in my inquiry.
ReplyDeleteI skipped my detour to Alabang. From Lucena, I rode a bus and alighted at Taft/Buendia crossing.
To go to Binondo Church from Taft/Buendia crossing, ride a jeepney going to Divisoria. Alight at Binondo Church.
To go to Bayani Road (Taguig) from Binondo Church:
1. Ride a jeep going to Taft. Alight at Taft/Buendia crossing.
2a. Ride a jeep going going to PRC OR
2b. Ride a bus going to Ayala.
Alight at Chino Roces (formerly Pasong Tamo).
3. Ride a jeepney going to Mantrade. Alight at Mantrade.
4. Ride a a jeepney going to Gate 3. Alight at Gate 3 (it's a building with a jeepney terminal at front).
5. Ride a jeepney going to Bayani Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:
1. From Taft/Buendia crossing, ride a jeep going to Guadalupe. Alight at Guadalupe jeep terminal.
2. From Guadalupe, ride a jeep going to Gate 3. Alight at Gate 3 jeep terminal.
3. From Gate 3, ride a jeep going to Bayani Road.
Why did I opt for the first route? Because I was trying to save time by avoiding being on EDSA and Bunedia for much of the time.
So there you go. From Manila to Pasay to Makati to Taguig. It's really tedious to commute around the Metro. lol
Thank you for your contribution! I posted your directions in the Route Index (with some editing). Safe travels!
ReplyDeletehi! just wanna ask how to commute from naia 3 to sm muntinlupa?? the easiest way please...
ReplyDelete1. Ride any bus or jeep going to Pasay Rotonda.
Delete2. Beside the MRT-Taft station, ride the jeeps going to Alabang-Metropolis (Kanan)
3. Once the jeep passes opposite South Station, there are jeeps there headed to Susana Heights, San Pedro, etc. One of those will pass by SM Muntinlupa.
Good afternoon... Ask ko lang po how to travel from Batangas City to Rodriguez, Rizal....
ReplyDelete1. Ride any bus going to Araneta Center, Cubao.
Delete2. From the Araneta Center Cubao Bus Terminal, make your way towards Aurora Blvd (it's walking distance from the bus terminal) and there will be jeeps there going to Cogeo (now named Rodriguez).
Hi. Anyone knows how I could I get to La Vista Club House? Is it near Katipunan LRT 2 station?
ReplyDelete1. From Katipunan LRT2 station, make your way to the jeepney terminal underneath the Katipunan flyover (Ateneo side).
Delete2. The jeeps there either go to Tandang Sora or inside U.P. Diliman but you can ride either as they will all pass La Vista Subdivision.
3. Get down at La Vista Subdivision (landmark, Petron station at your right) and once past the guard there are tricycles that can take you to La Vista Club House.
Note: La Vista has tight security so make sure your host knows that you're arriving or is easily reachable by phone.
HOW TO GO Accord Capital Equities Corp FROM MULTINATIONAL?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I'm unfamiliar with the area in question.
DeleteHi! Do you know how to go to maginhawa st. quezon city if galing kami ng dau, mabalacat bus terminal?
ReplyDeleteIf the bus line you are riding has a terminal in the Kamuning-EDSA area (e.g. JAC Liner), you can just get off at the intersection of EDSA-Timog/East Ave. then follow the directions from #2 of the guide: http://themanilacommuter.blogspot.com/2015/04/how-to-get-to-maginhawa-street-quezon.html (except from where you get down you will need to cross EDSA to get to East Ave.
DeleteAnother option is to get down or make your way to MRT-North Ave. station and get down at GMA-Kamuning station.
is the dasmarinas bus in lawton will pass exactly to greensborough dasmarinas cavite?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I haven't tried that route yet, so I can't say.
Deletehow to go to padre faura manila . if i'm from alabang
ReplyDeleteYou have two choices:
Delete1. Along Alabang-Zapote Road, you can wait for a bus going to Lawton or Sta. Cruz and get down at Padre Faura. This way has more traffic but it's only one ride. So if you have a lot of time and don't want to change rides too often, you can take this route.
2. Go to Starmall-Alabang and make your way to the MMDA Bus Terminal beside Starmall (http://themanilacommuter.blogspot.com/2015/03/puv-terminals-in-muntinlupa-city.html#mmdaalabang). There are buses here going to Lawton. It will pass through Skyway/SLEX so it's faster esp. if you're near Starmall.
Whichever route you choose, another option is that once the bus you're riding on gets to Taft Ave., you can get on the LRT-1 headed to Monumento and then get off at Padre Faura station.
How do I get to Alabang, say Festival Mall, from Trinoma? Is there an FX or aircon bus going all the way? If I leave Trinoma by 7am, will I get to Alabang by 9am - tomorrow Tuesday?
ReplyDeleteFrom Trinoma there is no FX service headed straight to Alabang. There are buses along EDSA that head straight to Alabang but traffic along EDSA is unpredictable. Cubao is a chokepoint and the time you mentioned is rush hour for people going to Makati.
DeleteOne option is to take the MRT up to Ayala station, then from there get a bus to Alabang (South Station). From South Station you can walk towards Festival Mall.
Another option is the point-to-point bus service from Trinoma to Glorietta, then walk to SM Makati along EDSA and get on the Alabang-bound bus as above.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteHow can i get to almanza dos, las pinas city?
Salamat po.
You didn't specify where you're coming from, but assuming your starting point is Alabang South Station, then you may get on any jeep headed to Alabang-Zapote or Baclaran and tell the driver you'll be getting down at Almanza Dos.
Deletehi, how to get to Lyceum of Alabang coming from Moonwalk Laspinas?
ReplyDelete1. Get on any jeep headed to Starmall Alabang.
Delete2. Get off at the Jollibee across Alabang South Station (beside the police/fire station).
3. Get on any jeep headed to Pacita/San Pedro. Tell the driver that you will be going to Lyceum of Alabang.
Hi how to get to Pansol Miramonte village PAnsol calamba laguna from alabang? thanks
ReplyDeleteHi, I haven't been there yet, but based on Google Maps it's on the National Highway so you can take any FX or bus headed to Sta. Cruz, Laguna and just tell the driver or conductor that you are going to Miramonte Village.
DeleteThere are FX/buses going to Sta. Cruz, Laguna in Alabang South Station. I've also noticed some buses in Alabang Starmall headed to Sta. Cruz, Laguna but not sure about how frequent they are.
Get down in front of Monte Vista Resort, cross the National Highway and go to Kamagong Street (opposite Monte Vista Resort). First corner turn right into Narra Street and just go straight until you get to Miramonte Village.
It's about 478 meters from the corner of the National Highway and Kamagong Street. It's walking distance but there may also be tricycles in the area.
Hi! Im not familiar with the FC terminals here in Makati. Im going to Francisville, Antipolo. Along Sumulong. When I checked this site, it says that the vans going to Sumulong are located at the QUADRANT III CAR PARK - FX TERMINAL. However, I don't think it's still operating since Intercontinental Hotel is under construction. Where can I find the FX/ Van terminal going to Antipolo from Makati? Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteHi, I haven't been to Makati in a while so I haven't been able to check out the Quadrant III terminal recently. I'll see if I can go around Makati this weekend and update as necessary.
DeleteIn the meantime, one interim solution is to take the P2P bus from Park Square building to Robinson's Galleria and then there are FX in Galleria going to Antipolo.
You could of course just take the MRT or standard EDSA bus going to Ortigas, but the P2P bus is more comfortable and faster since it's a direct terminal-to-terminal trip. You can check out the details, schedules and fares here:

Hi,
ReplyDeleteCould you provide instructions for getting to Bernabe Subdivision, Brgy. Pulang Lupa Dos, Las Pinas from Lucena?
I would really appreciate your reply on this. Thanks.
The Bernabe Subdivision I could find in Google Maps is Don Aguedo Bernabe Subdivision and it's located in Paranaque (near Paranque City Hall), not Las Pinas. Kindly verify with the person you are going to if this is indeed the case. Please refer to the Google Map location below:
Deletehttps://www.google.com.ph/maps/place/Don+Aguedo+Bernabe+Subdivision,+San+Antonio,+Para%C3%B1aque,+Metro+Manila/@14.471879,121.0212332,16z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x3397ce53f48523af:0x19d41832718928a5!8m2!3d14.4739509!4d121.0295681?hl=en
Assuming this is the Bernabe Subdivision you're looking for, you can take the following route:
1. From Lucena, take the bus going to Alabang Starmall and get down at Alabang South Station.
2. At South Station, walk towards the Alabang Public Market (see Google Map link below) and get on the jeep headed to Pasay Rotonda.
https://www.google.com.ph/maps/place/Abanto+Grocery/@14.4202449,121.0441015,18z/data=!4m13!1m7!3m6!1s0x3397d030b8d72c95:0xb3215b18d729cdc3!2sSouth+Station+Transport+Terminal!3b1!8m2!3d14.421775!4d121.043726!3m4!1s0x0000000000000000:0xe58547ada40dc0f4!8m2!3d14.4195127!4d121.044272
3. Get down at the Sucat interchange and ride a jeep there going to Baclaran.
4. Alight at the corner of Dr. A. Santos Ave. (Sucat Road) and San Antonio Ave. Landmark: Unihealth-Paranaque Hospital & Medical Center (Google Map link below):
https://www.google.com.ph/maps/place/Unihealth-Paranaque+Hospital+%26+Medical+Center/@14.4658978,121.0197419,18z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0000000000000000:0x38e36f7f2b4f56e1!8m2!3d14.4645363!4d121.0196178?hl=en
5. From there I'm not familiar with the route anymore, but there should be tricycles or jeeps in the area that can then take you to Bernabe Subdivision.
Hi,
DeleteFirst of all, thank you for your fast response.
I think we can set aside the Bernabe Subdivision for now.
And I will just ask about how to get from Lucena to Brgy. Pulang Lupa Dos, Las Pinas City?
I'm not familiar with the exact way to Brgy. Pulang Lupa Dos but I can give you directions to the general area and from there you can ask around to get to your specific location.
Delete1. From Lucena, ride any bus going to Buendia. Preferrably ride JAC Liner (the reason is below).
2. In front of the JAC Liner terminal are buses headed to SM Southmall. Ride one of those and get down at the corner of Alabang-Zapote Road and Dona Manuela Ave.
Landmark: RFC Shopping Centre at the corner to your left, Pamplona Park across the road from RFC Shopping Centre. Refer to Google Map location below:
https://www.google.com.ph/maps/place/RFC+Shopping+Centre/@14.4534079,120.9739992,17z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0000000000000000:0x7f35f815b90a0df5!8m2!3d14.4530148!4d120.976327?hl=en
3. Dona Manuela Ave. leads towards Brgy. Pulang Lupa Barangay Hall so you should be able to ask around there for what jeep you will need to take to get there.
Hope this helps.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the instructions, this would help me a lot.
Thanks again.
You're welcome.
Deletehow to go to SM Manila from Starmall Alabang?? is there a bus or FX directly going there??
ReplyDelete1. Make your way to the MMDA Organized Bus Terminal (it's the terminal beside Starmall Alabang, so it's just a short walk). Please refer to the Google Map location:
Deletehttps://www.google.com.ph/maps/place/MMDA+Organized+Bus+Terminal/@14.4150642,121.0462518,18z/data=!4m12!1m6!3m5!1s0x3397d038461c7ce9:0xfd020229034b3786!2sStarmall+Alabang!8m2!3d14.4168656!4d121.0467115!3m4!1s0x3397d0383aee1499:0x346565efb0fe48d6!8m2!3d14.4157298!4d121.0463205
2. Ride the bus going to Lawton (either Green Star Express or HM Transport).
3. Get down at Manila City Hall (SM Manila is just behind Manila City Hall) or you can ask the conductor to let you down at the nearest unloading point from SM Manila.
hello!
ReplyDeletethis would be my first time to commute. could you provide me with instructions on how to go to Town? I would be coming from Trece, Cavite. Thanks a lot!
Hi, I assume that by "Town" you mean Alabang Town Center and by "Trece" you mean Trece Martires. I haven't tried this route myself but there is an FX/UV Express service in Alabang South Station that services Trece Martires. This means that there should also be FX/UV Express in Trece Martires going to Alabang South Station but I don't know their terminal in Trece Martires so you will have to ask around. If you know of any major terminal there in Trece Martires, that's a good place to start asking around.
DeleteGiven the above, the route would go like this:
1. Ride FX/UV Express from Trece Martires going to Alabang South Station.
2. From South Station, walk towards the jeepneys going to Zapote Kabila, Baclaran, Moonwalk, Casimiro and ride any of those jeeps going to Alabang Town Center.
Alternatively, between South Station and Alabang Public Market, there are also jeeps there going directly to Alabang Town Center (also written as Ayala Town Center; it's the same place). Either will get you to ATC.
Hope this helps.
Hi! Do you know how to get to Evia Daanghari from Balibago, Sta. Rosa?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
While I'm not familiar with a direct route from Balibago to Evia Mall, you can try the following route:
Delete1. From Balibago take a jeep/UV Express going to Alabang South Station.
2. At South Station, there are jeeps/UV Express that will pass by Daang Hari, particularly those headed to SM Molino. You can ride these and get down at Evia Mall.
Hope this helps.
Hi, does anybody know how to get to SM Sta.Mesa from Alabang? Thanks
ReplyDeleteOption 1:
Delete1. At the MMDA bus terminal beside Starmall Alabang, ride a bus going to Lawton.
2. Get down at the LRT Quirino station (Quirino cor. Taft Ave.) and ride the train to Doroteo Jose station.
3. From Doroteo Jose station, walk to LRT-2 Recto station. You can get on the train and get down at V. Mapa station (it's a short walk to SM Sta. Mesa from there).
Option 2:
1. At Starmall Alabang ride the "B" bus and get down at MRT Ayala station (shorter walk compared to getting down at Magallanes).
2. Take the MRT to Cubao and then walk towards the LRT-2 Araneta Center-Cubao station.
3. Get on the LRT going towards Recto and alight at V. Mapa station.
Thank you so much, I like the Option 2 better I think it saves more time.. again thank you..
DeleteHi! How to commute from Festival Mall to SM Center Muntinlupa? Thank you :)
ReplyDeleteHead towards Alabang-Zapote Road. If you follow the pedestrian path (beside the creek) from Festival Mall to Alabang-Zapote Road you'll end up beside the fire and police station. In front of the station you can ride the jeeps headed to Binan or San Pedro and these will pass by SM Center Muntinlupa (it will be to your right).
DeleteHi! How to get to Lyceum Cavite from Makati? Papunta and pabalik po
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm not familiar with the area but here's what you can try.
Delete1. Make your way to the Buendia/Taft Ave. intersection.
2. Along that intersection board a bus headed to Dasmarinas, Cavite.
3. Once in Dasmarinas, you should be able to ask around how to get to Lyceum Cavite. It's located along a major road, so there should be jeeps passing along that route.
To go back to Makati just reverse the route, i.e. take a jeep to Dasmarinas then from there board any PUV headed to Metro Manila. In SM City Dasmarinas there should be a UV Express terminal there with routes going to Makati. Again, I'm not familiar with the place so I cannot give exact details but hopefully the information I provided would be enough to give you a general guide for how to get to and from Lyceum Cavite.
How to commute from sm southmall to starmall prima daanghari and vise versa
ReplyDeleteStarmall Prima is located near SM Molino, so you can take any jeep/FX headed to SM Molino.
Delete1. From Southmall, take a jeep headed to Starmall Alabang or South Station.
2. Get down at Honda Alabang. Either there or where Isuzu Alabang is, there are PUVs that make the turn going to SM Molino.
To go back, around the Molino area there should be PUVs headed to Alabang. Once you get back on Alabang-Zapote road you can then ride a jeep going back to Southmall.
The horrible traffic in MManila have a lot of times made me give up driving around the city. Not really familiar with public transportation. Usually use Grab or Uber when I don't drive. Help, please. I want to add public transpo as another option for travelling around MManila. May I please ask for commuting options re: FROM YNARES CENTER (Shaw Blvd., Pasig City) GOING TO UST (Espana, Manila). Let's say I expect to arrive at UST at 7:00 in the morning from Mon-Fri. What are my options please? And can you please include 'reverse directions' as well. THANKS!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not as familiar with some portions of the route but I hope the following will help:
Delete1. From Ynares Sports Center take a jeep or UV Express going to Quiapo.
2. Get down at the corner of Recto and Nicanor Reyes (Morayta). There should be jeeps there headed towards Espana and UST.
To go back, from what I know in front of UST there are jeeps with signboard "Morayta" that you can take to get back to Recto Ave. Then cross Recto to get on jeeps or UV Express headed to Pasig where you can get down across from Ynares.
If you want to be at UST by 7am, it would probably be safer to be waiting for a ride at Ynares by 5am. You may arrive earlier than 7am, but the thing is by 5:30-6am there may be so many people and vehicles coming out that it may be difficult to get a ride and traffic will delay you even further. So better to be early than really late.
Good luck!
Thanks for your reply. BUT may I please ask a few more questions? I hope you don't mind. Pardon my ignorance please bec. my knowledge re public transpo is limited since I drive most of the time. You mentioned "UV Express going to Quiapo" in front of Ynares Sports Center. My questions are:
Delete1. Do they have like a terminal or station right there? Or do they come from somewhere else & just pass by Ynares??
2. And IF they do have terminal or station there, do you know what time in the morning they start boarding passengers???
3. Lastly, if they don't have a station or terminal in Ynares, do you know where the nearest terminal/station (destination Quiapo or UST) is located?? And again, do you know what time in the morning they start boarding passengers?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE. Sorry to bother you. Thanks again.
No problem at all. The UV Express passing by Ynares come from deeper within Pasig itself, though I'm not familiar where their exact terminals are. So to answer your question, they start from somewhere else and just pass by Ynares.
DeleteBehind Bldg. B of Megamall (the side nearer to Shangri-La) there's a UV Express Terminal there and some go to Quiapo. I'm not aware of their exact schedule, but usually for any UV Express terminal, they start showing up early morning (5 or 6am) all through the rush hour. Then it dries up late morning to early afternoon (there are a few, but they wait for passengers to fill up, and since it's a non-peak time it sometimes takes a long time to fill up), then mid-to-late afternoon when rush hour is about to start again, the UV Express start their trips again.
I hope this helps.
Good day! Ask ko lang po how to travel or commute from SM north to Xavierville? Thank you po.
DeleteIn the SM North PUV terminal there's supposed to be jeeps headed to UP Diliman. You can ride that and then from UP take that jeep that goes to Katipunan Ave.
Deletehello po. how do i commute from naic cavite to manila memorial park sucat paranaque .....thanks po
ReplyDeleteI'm not so familiar with that route, but I hope the following helps:
Delete1. From Naic, ride any bus/FX that gets you to Coastal Mall/Baclaran.
2. From Coastal Mall or Baclaran, there may be jeeps or FX headed towards Sucat.
from Pasig Public Market going to West Service Road corner Dr. Santos Avenue, Sucat Paranaque City (near Zilog and South Interchange Southbound) how to get there po? thank you! :)
ReplyDelete1. From Pasig market, ride the jeep going to Quiapo or MRT Shaw (if you ride the Quiapo-bound jeep you need to get down in front of St. Francis Church, just before the flyover).
Delete2. Make your way to Starmall and from there ride any bus with the placard "Sucat."
3. Once at Sucat interchange, get down at the unloading point and you're already there at the corner of Dr. A. Santos and West Service Road. There's an interconnected footbridge there so you can cross to whatever part of the area you need to go to.
