If you're not already familiar with Makati, aside from all the one-way streets the whole of Ayala Avenue has designated loading and unloading zones. Ayala Ave. is the busiest street in Makati, that's why this system was implemented back in the late 90s. The fact that the loading/unloading scheme is still in place means that it must be working.
As a commuter, it's important to take note of these loading/unloading areas to avoid missing your stop:
UNLOADING ZONES
a. Glorietta/Rustan's
b. The block between Paseo de Roxas and V.A. Rufino St.
LOADING ZONES
a. Philippine Stock Exchange
b. The block between V.A. Rufino Street and Salcedo Street
This means more walking, but it's healthy and it helps manage the traffic. Refer to the Google Map below for a visual reference (note: you can zoom or unzoom as necessary):
