Commuting in Metro Manila is challenging enough even during ordinary days. If you add in the rainy season, you will need to contend with the floods that can make your intended route all but impassable.
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has identified the twenty-two (22) routes most likely to be flooded during heavy rain. Take note of these routes especially if the weather forecast indicates heavy rain:
* España-Antipolo-Maceda, Manila;
* P. Burgos-Manila City Hall vicinity;
* Osmeña-Skyway northbound and southbound, Makati;
* EDSA-North Avenue, Quezon City;
* Don Bosco, Makati;
* Buendia-South Superhighway southbound;
* Buendia-South Superhighway northbound;
* C-5-Bagong Ilog;
* West Service Road, Merville, Paranaque;
* East Service Road, Sales Street;
* North Avenue in front of Trinoma;
* Buendia Extension-Macapagal Avenue (World Trade Center);
* NLEX Balintawak (Cloverleaf);
* EDSA, Camp Aguinaldo Gate 3;
* EDSA, Megamall;
* EDSA, Pasong Tamo-Magallanes Tunnel;
* Quezon Avenue, Victory Avenue/Biak na Bato;
* C-5-BCDA, Taguig City;
* R. Papa-Rizal Avenue, Manila;
* C-5 Mckinley Road;
* C-5 Bayani Road; and
* Philcoa Area, Quezon City
