How to Commute to the Top Food Trip Destinations Along Katipunan Ave.

Start Point: Katipunan Ave. jeepney terminal under Katipunan flyover
Go to Route Index
List of PUV Terminals

This post is inspired by the article Katipunan: A Food Trip Guide.

The Katipunan jeepney terminal is located underneath the Katipunan Avenue flyover, practically beside the Blue Residences landmark on Google Maps. (See it on Google Maps)

All the destinations listed are located along Katipunan Avenue, so you can take any jeep. The difference will be where in Katipunan you will get down.

Note: All the destinations listed (except for U.P. Town Center) will be on the left side of the road. For most of the way along Katipunan Avenue, the only way to get across the street is via the pedestrian overpass, then walking to the specific destination.

Where you will get down: U.P. Town Center

Destination: 8 Cuts Burger Blends / Casa Verde / Cafe Shibuya (inside U.P. Town Center)

Tell the jeepney driver that you will get down at U.P. Town Center. It will be on the right side of the road.

Where you will get down: Pedestrian overpass in front of Miriam College

Destination: Cello's Doughnuts and Dips (above Mercury Drug)

After crossing the pedestrian overpass in front of Miriam College, walk going back towards Aurora Blvd. Mercury Drugstore is just a short distance from the overpass.

Note: Gino's Brick Oven Pizza has already moved last time I saw.

Where you will get down: Pedestrian overpass just past Gate 3 of Ateneo

Destination: Xocolat (B. Gonzales St. - next to Regis Center)

1. After crossing the pedestrian overpass from Gate 3, walk towards U.P. until you get to the corner of B. Gonzales St. and Katipunan Ave.

Landmark: Bo's Coffee will be at the corner.

2. Turn left at B. Gonzales St. and keep walking. Just before the corner, you should see Xocolat on your left.

Destination: B. Wings Katipunan (Loyola Heights Condominium, Esteban Abada St.)

After crossing the pedestrian overpass from Gate 3, take the road immediately beside the overpass (Park 9 Alley) and turn left once you reach the corner. Loyola Heights Condominium is about halfway down the block after turning left.

Destination: Wooden Spoon (along Katipunan Ave. near Bo's Coffee)

After crossing the pedestrian overpass from Gate 3, walk going towards U.P.. You should see Wooden Spoon on the left before you reach the corner.

Destination: Katsu Cafe (behind Bo's Coffee)

After crossing the pedestrian overpass from Gate 3, walk going towards U.P. and turn left at the corner. As mentioned, Katsu Cafe should be behind Bo's Coffee Club.

Destination: Roku (The Oracle Hotel and Residences)

1. After crossing the pedestrian overpass from Gate 3, walk back going towards Aurora Blvd.
2. Cross F. dela Rosa St. and continue until you get to The Oracle Hotel and Residences.

Note: If you see a passing jeep, you can take a quick ride to your destination (easiest landmark to see is Pancake House; beyond that is The Oracle Hotel and Residences).

Destination: Craft Coffee Revolution (Esteban Abada St.)

After crossing the pedestrian overpass from Gate 3, take the road immediately beside the overpass (Park 9 Alley) and turn right once you reach the corner. Craft Coffee is about halfway down the block after turning right.

Destination: Sweet Inspirations (along Katipunan Ave.)

After crossing the pedestrian overpass from Gate 3, take a jeep going towards Aurora Blvd. and get down in front of Sweet Inspirations.

Note: It's possible to walk, but it will be some distance away.

Where you will get down: Pedestrian overpass just past Gate 2 of Ateneo

Note: It's possible to walk to the following destinations if you're coming from Aurora Blvd. but it will be a long walk.

Destination: Brickfire / Starr's Famous Shakes (they're both located in the same building: Xavier Residences, Brickfire at 2nd floor, Starr's at the ground floor)

1. After crossing the pedestrian overpass at Gate 2, walk back towards Aurora Blvd. and turn right at the Rosa Alvero St. (there's a Shakey's at the corner).
2. Keep walking along Rosa Alvero St. until it intersects with Esteban Abada Street. Xavier Residences is at the intersection but you have to cross Esteban Abada St. from where you are to get there.

The following destination is so close to the jeepney terminal that you may as well just walk to it if you're coming from the direction of Aurora Blvd.

Destination: Jeepney Bistro (42 Esteban Abada St.)

The portion of Esteban Abada St. you're going to is behind St. Bridget's School, so starting from the corner of Aurora Blvd. and Katipunan Ave., walk along Katipunan headed towards U.P. and then turn left at the first corner. That's already Esteban Abada St. and Jeepney Bistro is a short walk from the corner. It will be located at the right side of the road.
